Wilmslow-based Morris, one of the country's largest privately-owned housebuilders, is one of only three housebuilders nationally to achieve the four star rating and is the only company to be based in the North West or to be building homes in the region.
The study, based on the responses of new home buyers across the UK, rates housebuilders for the quality of their homes and also for whether customers would recommend the company to a friend.
Commenting on the four star award, group chief executive Mike Gaskell said, "This achievement is based on many years of providing customers with excellent quality and service. In the last year alone we have received our largest ever number of 'Pride in the Job' awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC) and were recently named the UK's Green Housebuilder of the Year.
"Achieving the four-star standard is particularly satisfying because it is based on the opinions of the people who buy and live in the homes we build.
"In the current economic climate those looking to buy a home need reassurance that their housebuilder will provide them with a high quality home and all the support they need during the buying process.
