Energy efficient homes

Minimising our impact on the environment – maximising the quality of your home. That’s why choosing a new home from Morris mean making a positive choice for the environment.

We’re committed to minimising our impact on the environment so the way we build homes reflects this. The traditional exteriors of our homes are constructed using the latest methods and materials to provide optimum energy efficiency and minimise CO2 emissions, ensuring your utility bills are kept low. We are also introducing the latest renewable energy technologies, including solar panels and biomass heating systems, which use wood pellets to provide carbon neutral energy. All properties incorporate energy efficient equipment as standard.

We also take our commitment to local eco-systems seriously and regularly invest

to protect natural habitats and preserve natural features. Our projects have involved the relocation of rare bat species into specially built bat caves and full fish restocks of lakes. Our overall commitment to the environment has been recognised by a major national awards programme, which has voted Morris ‘Green Housebuilder of the Year’. When commenting on this award win, Tim Smit, founder of The Eden Project, said that Morris had shown a ‘positive
response to the green agenda’ by introducing sustainable features across all of its properties and developments.
