Located just north of Wigan and surrounded by golf courses and scenic countryside, our new homes in Standish provide a rural retreat that's still within reach of the big city.
Standish high street has all the amenities you’ll need, including boutiques and tea rooms. For a day out shopping, you’ll find the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre in nearby Wigan. The cities of Liverpool and Manchester are a short drive away too. This means you can reach inner city retail precincts with plenty of shops and restaurants for a great day out.
Things to do
Standish is surrounded by countryside and a number of golf courses. This includes Haigh Country Park, with its woodland trails and the Haigh High Ropes adventure course. In the town centre you’ll find a number of open parklands which are ideal for dog walkers. Nearby Ashfield Park has open spaces where families can enjoy a walk or a kickabout in the park. The town is within driving distance of larger towns in Lancashire, including Bolton, Wigan and Preston. Travelling further north brings you to the Lake District as well.
Our Churchfields housing development is within a short drive of both the M6 and the M61, which provide routes into Preston, Wigan, Bolton and Manchester. The village is also between Liverpool and Manchester, with both airports around an hours’ drive away. There are two train stations in the neighbouring villages of Appley Bridge and Gathurst. These provide rail links to the seaside town of Southport and the bustling city of Manchester. Changing at Wigan easily connects you to Preston, Blackpool and the Lake District too.
Our new homes in Manchester and the wider area of Greater Manchester are set within the heart of one of the UK's most exciting areas. We have schemes like Help to Buy and Shared Equity on offer to make your purchase as manageable as possible too.
