Things To Do
While many towns in Lancashire don’t mill anymore, they don’t "mill around" when it comes to things to do! Many country parks can be found around these towns, while the Forest of Bowland is an area of outstanding natural beauty in the north of the county. Lancashire also borders the national parks in both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Cities like Preston and Lancaster have plenty to do, with shopping opportunities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. Meanwhile, miles of cycling trails await you in the surrounding countryside. This includes the 21 mile Guild Wheel cycle path on the outskirts of Preston.
Transport
Lancashire is well-served by the M6, which provides routes into Manchester and the Lake District. There are also rail links all through the county, connecting big cities with villages in the picturesque countryside. Manchester Airport is the closest major airport, providing a gateway to the world on the outskirts of the Red Rose county.
There are a few new developments from Morris Homes to look at if you're thinking of buying a new build home in Lancashire. We also have schemes like TradeUp to consider, giving you maximum choice when you're buying your dream home.
