Morris Homes Central has an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to make a great impact on the business. The role is based at our Rugby office, with travel to the sites within the region.
Full job description
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for preparing, managing and controlling all site development costs and budgets.
- Maintain budget control
- Produce accurate bi-monthly valuations
- Procure sub-contractors, good and materials
- Payment approvals and processing
- Prepare valuation reports
- Liaise with site team and sub-contractors
- Provide support to the commercial department
The Person
- Ability to form strong working relationships
- Effective organisation and team working skills
- Good planning and time management skills
- IT skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
- Experience within the house building sector
- HND or Degree qualified
- Driving Licence
